Maxwell watched the mages. They were the most dangerous. In his leap he was shocked. One of them pointed a dark red stone, and an immediate reaction took him (he didn’t notice the mage being attacked). He closed his eyes and braced for a fall, the stone around his neck shining. The shield around him was just in time, he thought, but it drown out the path of his power. He splashed into the water, angered by the interruption. At least if the mage couldn’t see him, he’d be safe. “ARG!” he grumbled, letting the bubble go in his new hide. “Hmph!” He paced. If they wouldn’t give him a chance, maybe he shouldn’t give them a chance. How fair should he be? Ellie had seen the incident where she still stood. “Erg!” a back up plan was spinning in her mind. If nothing else she had way to make it a fight only by hand. Alister was there, and had now bashed the other ship with a hunk of lava. “Good!” she yelled to him. She sounded angry, but was glad for him. “Aliser, I’m thinking of using the bubble! Let me know if you see Maxwell safe on the other side! I’ll use it then!” “Yes, Ma’am!” Alister smiled. Even with his distance he was taking people out. “Wait a minute! Look! Maxwell is back!” but he saw. Maxwell had taken a zipping cyclone back onto the Renegade. Before anyone could take a jab at him, the shield was around him. “Maybe you should wait! He seems to have other plans!” Alister launched some ice at some men who tried to board. “I see that now!” she blinked. “But, Alister, it may come to that! They want me for some reason!” “ARGH! I won’t let those idiots lay a finger on you any more, Ellie! Let me out of this bubble! Let me out!” Ander was shouting, finally standing up. “I can’t use magic in this dumb thing! Erg!” “Ander, do you want to take their chance?!” Ellie frowned, but she was going to let him. “No, try your own for a while! Don’t over do it!” “You just told me to get back at them!” Ander huffed. “I can’t stay in here like a coward…” Ellie spoke to herself. “Ander, watch after Alister!” she nodded, and let go of the shield. A whistling gale took her into the sky, and she made it across the battlefield. To start, she called a cyclone from her sword, and it twisted her into several unlucky men. A gush of water hit her in the back, and Maxwell was by her side. “Kevin!” they nodded. They both wanted to take him on. “GRAH-! NO! YOU TOOK MY SHIP! THAT DEVIL TOOK MY SHIP!” Ander gave up on doing nothing. It was as if he had dug his boots into the wood, the way he was standing, and his arms flared out. A growing waved built, larger, and louder with the rushing water. He was tipping the Renegade over. “ANDER!” Alister actually enjoyed his idea, but he knew the others were smart. They may go after him again. “Stay close to me!” he decided to protect him. “Hmph! You’re leaving your post, Brother!” Zachary zipped back from his own skirmishing. “You left yours! You are supposed to protect this man!” Alister was ready to use a shield in a split second. “Well there’s no time for bickering! We’ll both he-…” “SHUT UP!” Ander’s teeth were dripping the way he growled. “YAH!” Ellie and Maxwell slid over as the ship turned. They were shoved closer to Kevin. Many of the Xindor crew was forced over into the water, or had to take back to the air.
Lloyd’s stomach dropped. “Oh-...” he felt nauseous. “What’s she doing? I can’t…” he shoved a pillow over his face. “I can leave if I need to. I have all of the stones that she has, but I can’t leave. I don’t need to. She doesn’t want me to.” Speaking from his own conscience wasn’t doing much. He gathered a big enough breeze to drag himself to the door, but he dropped down there. If he were to leave he’d be in the main cabin, and outside of there, from here he could hear the chaos. “I’m weak…” he frowned. “And I’m worried.” This time he made it to the main door. He sat on the floor to wait and think over the same things. Some must have been very angry outside. There were rushing sounds, slaps of water, and intense growling. A spark of flames seared from under the door, and Lloyd flopped back from the startling heat. It happened a few times, and then stopped. Someone screamed. “AH! Don’t hurt me! Please!” “GET OUT OF HERE!” it was Ander’s voice. The scared voice got faint, and was followed by a splash. Ander had thrown them overboard. It wasn’t a crewmember that Lloyd had heard before, so it must have been the enemy. “There’s no reason I couldn’t keep the deck clear…” it was encouraging. He leaned his ear against the door. It was Ander who was so angry. Was Ellie still out there? “ARRAGH!” “Sir, there are still some of our other’s on that ship! Mrs. Ellie and Maxwell are there!” “THERE WILL BE PAYMENT FOR MINE!” Lloyd gasped. Something had happened to Ander’s ship, and for all he knew Ellie was about to be hurt. “Ellie?...” his lip quivered. “ELLIE!” a whirlpool sucked him from the cabin. “DON’T YOU HURT HER!” he tackled Ander, and the Renegade was left to balance on it’s side. Which way would it roll? “Mr. Hallow!” Zachary cried out. “YOU IDIOT! I WAS HELPING!” the two princes crashed into the ocean near the Xindor’s bow, in a fight alone now. “You were about to send all of our team overboard! That’s not helping!” Lloyd squeezed a bubbling ring around Ander’s arms, and froze it solid with the stone around his neck. He easily broke it. “ THEY WERE FINE! The Devil took my ship! I will get revenge!” he lodged a punch for Lloyd, but missed where the man swirled in another direction. “Maxwell!” Ellie yelled. “It was Ander!” she had to be loud over the rest of the noise. “Might as well finish it off!” Maxwell let out an exhausted sigh. Now his power was finishing off what Ander had started. “Wait…What happened to Ander?!” It made Ellie wonder. “I’ve got to se that he’s OK! He wouldn’t give up like that!” “No, he’s fine! I made sure Alister stayed! Ellie, I need you here!” Maxwell encased himself in a glob of water as he worked.

Kevin& David Kevin jumped off the lurching ship and spread his wings heading for the sky battle field. "Louis! Get the water stone users to turn the ship back," he called down. Louis had jumped into the water and transformed. The merman swam around with the other merpeople then they went under the ship pulsed the water up and stabilized the ship. Kevin scanned the battle fields, His eyes met with The captain that had come to kill him. He was standing by a copper haired woman. Caroline Was swimming under their ship quickly, with a Wind and lightning stone. It was time. Kevin die bombed the captain flying through the water orb using the water stone around his neck to make a hole and tackling him. They rolled on the deck of the renegade as The Captain lost his focus on the water. Kevin held the sword to his throat and cut him a tad bit letting a small sliver of blood drip. Kevin glared at The woman that was accompanying the captain. "Move and I'll kill him." Suddenly the Xindor shook as Caroline attacked it's underbelly with the lightning and wind stone making a hole that would ultimately sink it. "Your ship is going down Captain." Kevin laughed give me the girl and I'll call back my men." Suddenly Jack had restrained Ellie with a sword. He ripped the shield stone from her and clutched a blood stone. The renegade shook and David was sent flying into the water. "AGGG!!!" He skipped on the surface and sank in. Damn it he was going to have the captain soon. He had taken out twenty three men with moderate injures to each of them. The Renegade was soon stabilized and the Xindor began to shake. David glanced at the navy ship that seemed to be staying quite a distance away waiting for a victor. David propelled into the air and saw the captains had gone head to head. David shot at the man who was holding the woman. he let out a jet of flame that knocked the man off her then flew into the Renegades captain the toppled off the Xindor's captain. The man went to chop David's head off but David used the gun to block it. "Human" He growled. David kicked him in the vulnerable spot. "Creep", David snorted standing up as the Captain crumpled. Jade Jade Shot lightning at the man piercing through his heart as he fell straight down. Many of the Xindor Avians had fallen from lightning stones. She sighed and began to fly toward the Xindors deck but it rocked heavily. Something was attacking it from the bottom. Jade landed on the deck and looked for a merperson. But no one was near. Jade plucked a bubble stone from her pouch she always had with her, it was now full of different stones. She pulled out a bubble stone. She ripped her dress in half luckily she had Capri's on underneath so she was now just wearing the top of her dress. I wasn't in the way in the air but it would be in the water. She plunged in activating the bubble stone as she swam under neath the ship. She saw a mermaid creating a huge whole in the bottom. Jade drew her sword and let out a flash of lightning barely missing the woman. The woman turned and smiled. "Nice to see you again Jade." She smiled. Jade cringed it was Caroline from years ago. "What the heck are you doing here?" Jade asked still a little surprised. "I'm here to make your life miserable." Caroline swam with amazing speed and was soon behind Jade with a knife to her throat. "You may think you can fight but your not any where close to me." She laughed and slightly cut her throat, small strands of crimson blood oozed into the water. "What do you want from me?" Jade asked with a growl. Caroline laughed. "I don't want you at all, Kevin does." Jade froze, "Kevin!?" Caroline snickered. "He's changed a lot right, he's not the same pale skinny kid you remember from that pirate crew." Jade squirmed a little "Kevin needs to get over me, he knows I hated him." Caroline tightened her grip. "He wants you, he desires you, he won't stop if he doesn't have you completely." "Not even if your married." Jade Let out her power and separated Caroline from herself. " You know that whoever marrys me becomes King of my country." Jade glared at her. "That's all he wants." "I'm just a tool." Caroline rubbed her arm where the wind had cut her. "Don't you think if he wanted to be king he'd just kill your whole family instead of doing it the peacefully way, and trust me I pleaded with him to just do that then chase after you my dear." Caroline tensed up. "I could just kill you now so we'd have one down." Jade gulped. Caroline had much more battle experience than Jade had. She was toast if they fought. Suddenly another merperson rammed into Caroline pushing her far off. Jade met her brother's eyes. "Jacob!" Jade swam over and hugged him. "Are you okay?" he asked in a concerned voice. "Yes." Jade said quickly. "The people on the ship above me saved me." He nodded his blond curls rolled softly in the water. "Okay, We won't sink them then." He said half to himself. "Lets go home now." He began to swim off toward the direction of the Navy ship but Jade didn't follow. He turned around. "Is something wrong?" He asked. With a questioning look. "Jade shook her head a little. "Well then come on then." He turned again and began swimming. Jade took a deep breath, "No."

“MAXWELL!” Ellie screamed. She didn’t care about her predicament as much. “Nah! Don’t worry Ellie…” his eyes flashed and he winced as the slice crew on his neck. “I don’t have to move…mhmhmhmhm.” Just as someone was knocking Kevin away (The nerve of them! Maxwell thought. This was his battle! He was fine…) a fine point of metal erupted from his hand. “ARGH!” his pointy teeth showed in Kevin’s face as he jammed the shard into the man’s shoulder. It went straight through. “You think you can go around messing with people the way you do?!” Maxwell spat on his face. From the corner of his eye he caught site of sharks, already coming to his signal. “Who do you think you are?!” a strip of water carried Kevin into the air by his neck. “If I drop you, you just might hang!” “ERG!” Ellie sucked her teeth. She threw a slice at the man who had her, his arm now with a giant gash. “Hmph! I’m not alone here!” She whirled the wind around him, pinning him to the ship with some metal after. “AHA! Try me!” a dark grin came onto her face. A large cracking sound came from the Xindor. Alister and Zachary were struggling over something. It seemed that water might have been spurting from the hull. “NO! NO! NO!” Ellie growled. It hadn’t sunk yet, and it wouldn’t this time. She knew it. She watched the mages for a moment, and eventually their distress left. They had fixed the breach. “Good! Hmph!” Ellie was very thankful for them. “RARGH!-” someone was yelling… The yelling got closer until she saw Lloyd and Ander burst up in the middle of the scene. “ELLIE’S HURT!” Lloyd was screaming. He was trying to ride a wave to the battle on the Renegade, but Ander was holding him back. “YOU FOOL! YOU’LL INTERUPT THEIR PLAN!” “THEY DON’T PLAN THESE SORTS OF THINGS!” Ellie gasped. Were they fighting? That was pointless now. “GET AWAY FROM ME!” Lloyd managed to throw Ander off. The first thing his eyes caught, mixing with the power of his aura stone, it was Kevin. He had a dark atmosphere around him. “YOU WON’T HURT MY FRIENDS! I WON’T LET YOU!” Lloyd was letting his emotion take him over. He was so passionate for his friends, and it would show in his rage. “What the…?” Maxwell looked confused at some things that were about to happen in a split second. “I WON’T LET YOU HURT ELLIE!” Kevin was ripped from his tower of water and slung hard against the deck. Blood swirled up in a column of water that Lloyd had swallowed him up with. High above Lloyd watched from an extension of ocean waves. “ELLIE!” he was crying. Ellie was scooped up by an arm of water, and brought near his side. “Lloyd?! Be careful! What’s going on?!” but he couldn’t hear her. She tried to wiggle out of his grip, but he was blind, just like those years before. “RAH-!” a shout from the top of his lungs and he broke the control of those who had stabilized the enemy ship. They were no match. The boat lurched over again, turned this time, belly up. Maxwell gained his balance in the water and searched for any Xindor crew that needed help. Miss Riley was swimming some avians to the surface and gathering up the injured. “Riley!” Maxwell swam to her side. “Take them back to the ship! Do what you can!...Uh, but watch out for the sharks!” the sharks would usually just nip at who Maxwell didn’t like, but sometimes they got confused and would harass his own team. “Lloyd what are you doing?!” Ellie watched him lift Kevin up by his arms, clamped in by ice. “Lloyd! Don’t…!” “YOU HURT ELLIE!” “Lloyd It wasn’t even him!” “YOU ARE EVIL!” she couldn’t stop Lloyd. He shifted his power into a fall, and Kevin bulleted down for his ship. His body was rammed into the floating bottom of the Renegade, surly busting a few layers of the ship. “Lloyd, this is why I told you to re-…” “LET HER GO, YOU IDIOT!” Ander cut in between. He pulled Ellie into his arms, and washed Lloyd out of the air. The other prince began to tumble through the air, exhausted, but he managed to come back for an attack. “Come on, Ellie!” Ander went for the Xindor so that he could let her go, but was tackled. “Lloyd!” Ellie screamed. “Lloyd! You have a black eye!” and she figured it had been from Ander. “GAH!” the two boys plummeted for the ocean in another tussle and she was forced to fly in order not to fall with them. “Our secret weapon…” she frowned where she hovered. “Maybe two?...Oh-” she was worried.

David & Kevin David watched as the man with blue hair basically annihilated Kevin then he was soon off the boat with another royal. David sighed. "Remind me never to fight with you guys." He chuckled and moved toward the hole Kevin was throw in. David looked down to see nothing. "WHAT?! Where'd He Go!" David jumped down into the chasm. The strong stench of blood flared in his nose. He landed at the bottom. David looked around to see a mutilated figure rasping in a dark corner. It was Kevin. He had encased himself in ice protecting him a little from the water, just enough so he could live. "Get out of here human." He rasped in a hateful tone. David smiled a little. "Your one to talk. Its not like you can escape." Kevin let out an evil laugh. "I don't have to." David felt confused suddenly. "Kevin held up a white stone with red tendrils all over it. "You know what this is right." Kevin grinned widely and coughed. "A marionette stone." David froze as the stone took affect. "I was hoping for a royal merman, but a royal human would do just as well." He turned the stone and Davids power was activated. Fire shot up all around him. "Uggg..." David grumbled. "I've been trained to use this stone, I'm an expert." Kevin hobbled up. "Now you're going to go berserk." David was forced up to the surface and fire jetted all around. He had no control of his body he could even talk. The flames scarred the deck and David began to fight the control. His soul bounced around and hammered into the cage while his body began attacking the pirates. David flew and blasted the Captain of the Xindor into the water with a huge jet of flame. Davids body turned to the copper haired woman, but would not attack. David soul was holding it back. "Mother Fire help me!!!" "I don't want to hurt my comrades!!!" David's soul shrieked. Suddenly Davids body collapsed. It laid on the deck uselessly. The Marionette stone never could be used long without extracting the victims heart. David was free. He regained control of his body. And sat up exhausted. "Marionette sto...stone." He rasped at the woman then fell over blacking out. Kevin juggled the stone but the time was up. He pulled out the illusion stone and covered himself waiting fro the moment to escape. Jade Jade looked at Jacob in his green eyes with a tad bit of sorrow. "What are you saying Jade!" He said in an angry tone. "You like these pirates!?" The water around him heated. "You want to abandon the throne to live as a criminal?!" Jade shook her head and protested, "I never said that!" But Jacob wasn't listening. "Your hand has been promised to the duke of Blesa, your going to throw father into a bad position!" Jacob stopped knowing he said to much. "I'm... I'm what?" Jade said in a quiet voice. "Your going to be come queen soon." Jacob said in a low tone. "If you leave we have no heir to the throne, you know males can't take it we're protectors!" He glared at her. "Your coming home now!" He went and tried to grab her but she shot out of the water into the air. She floated down onto the Xindor whee the mages where. "I stopped the threat to the hull", she said quietly. "It was the devils first mate." Jade looked at the mages.

“Did you see that man?!” neither Zachary or Alister noticed the royal girl. “He’s royal, too!” Alister looked his brother in the eyes. “I don’t think that he was controlling himself. That was some work of Louis!” Zachary snorted. “But he still isn’t Skiazo…” “Thank goodness!” Zachary sighed. “Listen, Mrs. I’m sure Maxwell will want us to leave soon. If we can’t calm the prince down…well, this happened times before. He’ll be ashamed of himself…” Alister approached the woman now. “We must keep you safe, so stay with us now.” He added. “Mrs. How aware of your magic are you? You didn’t seem to use your natural power much.” The Xindor mage was curious.
“Hey?! What in the world?!” Ellie flew to the human man in the wreckage and kneeled near his side. “Marionette stone?!” she held his shoulders. He was unconscious. “It must have been weak, or he’s just strong…” she thought. “Hmm?!” Maxwell shot up from the water and stood close. Mrs. Riley had healed the small wound on his throat, and other than being a bit tired and dazed he was fine. “AH! Kevin!” he saw the badly injured enemy captain. “Where’s Lloyd?! HE did this, didn’t he?! I thought he was resting?!” “I think Lloyd is fighting with Ander.” Ellie frowned. Slinging the human over her shoulders with a grunt she stood again. “Where’s Louis?” Maxwell snorted. “He’s the one we need. He’ll be ours!” and he ran around in a search. “Kevin isn’t here either!” his quick observation of the scene gave him awareness.
A silhouette stood in the light of a red lantern, cutting through the thick. The Ocio had been watching this entire time under a foggy shroud. The fire-coated captain looked out with his dull, longing eyes. There Riley was, with his old friends. She was helping his poor injured friends, but all he could see after these years was her wonderful, shining mint color. “Let’s…help them out, Luther.” he stuttered. The white-cloaked man licked his lips and appeared from further on the ship. “Sir, ehe...aren’t you feeling cold? Why don’t we make those people hurting your friends feel the same? I can do that for you…” “I know you can.” Ian let the quiet words stumbled from the edge of his mouth. “I know you want to see her, so let’s do them the favor…” Luther disappeared again, but Ian would not look at him. The tired rings under his eyes, maybe a little absent to see his girl, stayed however. Fingers snapped, and a pink glow radiated from somewhere from the stern. “A little warmth for you, Sir…” Luther’s devious voice was faint. Heat began to pool around the ship. This stone user was powerful.
“Oo-…” Ellie shivered. “Hey! Maxwell, do you feel that?! YAH!” something tumbled into her, and she fell forward. She dropped the man along, and he hit the overturned deck hard. “Ellie! What have I done?!” Lloyd sobbed at the blood around. “Look what I did!” “Lloyd! I told you to rest!” she tried to shove his arms away. He had soaked her clothes, and now the growing cold was worse. “You fool! I thought you were a pacifist! YOU HYPOCRIT!” Ander pounced over them, and pulled Lloyd away again. “I bet Louis is up to this!” Maxwell let out a visible breath in the chill. “Hey, are you awake, Mister? Maxwell, this guy is a royal human! He doesn’t even feel cold!” Ellie poked the human man and staggered back up. “Hmph! I bet Louis is in the water!” Maxwell was distracted. “Ellie, get that guy to be with that princess! I saw she was with Alister!” but he had noticed. “LOUIS!...I’m going to look for him!” and he left for the water. “Lloyd! ANDER!” Ellie yelled at the fighting princes. Lloyd stopped immediately to land in a puddle, but Ander kept throwing punches from his spire of water. “HEY! WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH YOU TWO?!” Ellie was angry this time, and she didn’t often get angry. “I don’t know what you two are doing but this is NOT the time! Looks like I’m going to have to give out orders! Lloyd, we don’t need magic right now, only safety...” her glare shot at Lloyd, and he knew what to do. “Aygh!” he recoiled and the stone around his neck turned a bright white. In a few seconds the left overs of the Renegade and the bruised Xindor were covered in a giant shield from him. All magic would stop inside. It cut Ander’s power off, and he landed just before he was going to give Lloyd another dent in the face. “Now, Ander, STOP IT! Leave him alone!” “He attacked me, Ellie! You can’t trust him!” “SHUT UP! LEAVE HIS POOR SOUL ALONE!” Ellie didn’t like to see Lloyd crying. “Uh, yes, Ellie…” Ander shoved himself back and lowered his head. He never had imagined being scolded by her. “Ellie, he’s bleeding…I did it again, Ellie…” Lloyd whimpered. “No, I think he’s still alive.” She clenched her fists. The area inside the dome was warming up again, and their breath was fading from sight. “I’ve got to take this man to our ship…” “My ship is going to take days to repair…” Ander shook his head. “Whatever Stay alert!” Ellie flew off with the human. “Here! Patch him up! I’ve got to keep an eye on Lloyd and Ander…” placing them an down she didn’t even explain to the mages. “Ellie- I’m cold…” Lloyd was moaning. Ander had pushed himself into a corner under some broken boards. “What’s wrong? Do you want to go back?” Ellie calmed when she came back and flew to his side. “I thought you were hurt…” “No, no! I’m fine! Why were you two fighting?” she looked back and forth between them.
“Sir, someone seems to have intercepted me, an excellent shield user. They must be from Rimallo.” Luther crawled out of the fog with his pink light. “Lloyd, my friend. He had saved me, and he tried to back at…no, no I’m here now! I want to see Riley. I’m going to check myself, now.” “Ah?” “Luther do you think that is fine? May I go?” “Yes…” Luther licked his lips again out of habit. “Thank you, thank you!” and Ian plunged overboard from the bow. He slipped into he natural form and swam to the edge of the great white bubble. A weak cough escaped his lungs and he pressed his hands to the glass like formation. Riley was comforting another merman and trying to heal him near the Xindor’s bow. “Riley…” he smiled, but was quiet. Joy blazed, but was barely enough to chase any of his cold away. He coughed again. “Riley!” he cried out. “Riley! It’s me!” he knocked on the smooth shield and it panged like a tank. Riley looked up, but did not see him. His face was hidden in a glare on the surface. “Oh-! Riley! Please, look at me! Eygh!” he winced. His chest shivered from too much effort. “That is enough…” there was an ambient whisper in his head. “Mmm! Y-yes…” Ian recovered from the pain. “Ian? I hear his voice. Robert, can you hear that?” Riley flickered her tail where she floated. “Mrs. Riley, I don’t think I…” “Robert, you’re all healed up. You can go now.” “Uh, all right?” the forest-green man swam off. “…Ian? No, I must be hearing things…” when he was gone Riley gave off a pitiful sigh. “Hmph…” the voice came back to Ian. “Go on…” it ordered. “…RILEY! I’M HERE! IT’S ME!” Ian burst out in a desperate sob. “Ian?! What?! How? IAN I SEE YOU!” Riley saw finally. Swimming to the glass-like structure she pressed her hands to the glass beneath the water. “IAN?!” “YES, RILEY!” “Ian! I must tell Maxwell! Oh, but! No, you don’t need to be hurt! Don’t come in here!” “I can’t! I can’t! I know Lloyd is doing something! It’s OK. Just stay safe, and I’ll wait here!” “Oh, I don’t want you getting hurt!” “No, I don’t want to lose you, Riley! Stay here with me…just wait…please.” “There, enough. Calm down…” “Ergh! Eh, mmm…yes.” Ian shook. “Ian, what’s wrong?!” “Nothing, Dear. Nothing at all. I’m fine now…”

Jade Jade knelt and felt the human's forehead it was considerably hot, like an internal heater. He was certainly blessed by mother fire. She looked at all the wreckage, this truly was an amazing battle. Suddenly heavy feet hit the deck of the Xindor. Jade sighed and turned to see Jacob in his royal uniform. He had been trapped in the bubble too. He looked at the other royals and scowled slightly but was back to normal. "Jade lets go now." He said in a commanding deep voice. Jade sighed she knew she wasn't going to win this fight. She stood and walked over to Jacob and took his thick hand. Jacob looked at the mages. "If you would please release the bubble." Jacob asked nicely. Jade thought he was controlling his actions very quietly. Reserving anything hostile. Jade's mind whirled trying to remember all the things she had done that day. "Also, the Captain, first Mate, and Mage have escaped already the bubble is useless." Jacob said with a snide snort, Jade looked down at her feet. Her crown tipping a little from her wet hair.

“Sir, Mr. Danes, this is not our work. One of our, um…” Alister shrugged. He listened to Lloyd or Ellie was much as he took Maxwell’s orders, even though he was the supposed Captain. “One of our leaders is up to this. I can tell we will be leaving soon. I sensed that Kevin had run off. If he hadn’t he would have been shark bait.” He grinned. “If you will wait, why not ask Mr. Evans for a journey home? I’m sure he will find appropriate purpose to do so.” And he bowed. “Hmph…” Zachary snorted and crossed his arms. Jacob reminded him of Ander, only not so happy. He liked that Ander was at least quirky.
“They’re gone! Kevin and Louis are both gone!” Maxwell punched through the side of the wreck and met with Ellie again. “Lloyd, go ahead and release the shield.” She held the man in her arms. He dismissed the power of his stone, and went limp from exhaustion. “I think we’re done here. We’ve chased em’ off at least. Let’s get the lady back and see what reward we can get.” The captain pounded his hands together. “Hmph, I guess they were lucky to leave.” He snarled. “Lloyd, Ander, I think you both just had a misunderstanding. Let’s leave it at that and act as if it never happened.” Ellie nodded at Ander. Lloyd’s misery had made her voice soft and understanding. “It means he lived, though, Lloyd. You didn’t kill him…” she rubbed her hand over Lloyd’s head, as if he were a puppy. “Yes, but now that man is on the loose! He better not come back!” Maxwell stomped. “Ander?” Ellie looked for the prince that hadn’t responded. “Yes, I’m going to my ship…” it was hard to hear him. He bore a hole into the flipped ceiling, and made his way to the fresh wreck of the Iver. “Lloyd, will you explain what happened to me later?” “Yes, I will, Ellie…” “Ellie I wanna wrangle up any of the Renegade men who are left. Let’s give them the option to join us or be turned in!” “I think that’s reasonable.” Ellie smirked. She released Lloyd with a gentle caress and stood near her cousin. “I have a couple of mermen tied down on the bottom, but most of them got away.” He peered through the hole that Ander had left through. “Oh, they don’t look happy…” Ellie saw their wiggly shapes at the bottom. “There’s a lot of avians though. I got most of them.” She grinned. “Has Mrs. Riley gathered mst of our members?” she asked. “I believe so. And Alister helped apparently.” “Good then. Lloyd, can you manage to get back to the ship on your own? I need to help Maxwell with some arresting.” “Yes, I can do that, Ellie…” Lloyd spiraled up on a weak spout of water and left. “I’ll go get my new buddies and look for our water guys. You get your new buddies and make sure our air guys are all back.” “Aye’ Max!” Ellie saluted and gave a wink as Maxwell disappeared down the break.
“Riley!” Ian swam through the shield as it faded. “I’m here now!” he hugged her. “Ian, I thought you had passed. I thought you were dead!” “No, Riley! I never left. I love you!” they kissed. “Ian, you’re cold…” “I know, this…this water is chilly.” He lied. “Ian, I love you ,too! Come to the ship with me! I want you to be warm.” “Yes, I want to see my friends. I need to speak with Maxwell, and Ellie, and Lloyd, and the others! And I’m so glad to be back with you. You are the most important to me.” Ian gazed into her eyes. “There’s so much I have to tell you, Ian…” “Hello, Sir!” Luther called down from the side of the Ocio. It had crept up as Ian swam ahead to the Xindor. “Luther! Riley, this is my mage. Luther helped to heal me those years I was gone. It’s…thanks to him I can see you now. I would have been…dead.” Ian stammered more. “Luther!” Mrs. Riley smiled. “I’ve heard a lot about you, Mrs. Riley.” Luther’s toothy smile was very distinguishable against the afternoon sky. “Thank you, Luther.” Mrs. Riley hugged Ian tighter. “Let me help you two...” the mage called a swift wind that brought them eye level to him. “Luther, would you please place us on the Xindor? I want to wait for our friends so that they will see me when they are ready.” “As you wish, Sir.” Luther followed the request and the couple transformed to stand on the deck of the other boat. “Hmm?” Alister heard the clunk of their boots to the floor. “IAN?!” his jaw dropped. Ian was just as shocked by the site. Many of his old acquaintances, members of the Xindor team were before him in an instant. “Young Friend is alive?!” they all ignored the unfamiliar royals to gather around him. “He’s alive!” the cheered.

Jade The crowd rejoiced and Jacob tugged her along. He called up a pillar of water and stepped lightly onto it. Jade was pulled onto it as well, Jacob was taking her away. Jacob drove the pillar of water back to the Navy ship. Many maddens came and began cleaning her up. They made her change but Jade kept the pouch full of relic stones away from them out of sight. She was back into a dress back into a room where she was basically locked away from the exciting dangerous world that she wanted to be apart of. She hid the stones under her dress and brushed her dry hair and arranged her crown in the right position. Her thoughts were clouded with the captain of the Xindor. She laughed it was weird fantasizing about men. Unfortunately she was betrothed to a stranger. The sword he had given her was now lying on the deck by a puddle of water. She hoped he would find it and realize what had happened. The ship rocked back and forth as it began its return to the island, Jade sighed as she returned to the prison. She'd see if this Duke was at least her type then if he wasn't she'd try to escape as a runaway. Her third cousin removed did the same. She escaped without being caught and forced into marriage. She loved her country but not enough to marry a stranger.
David Davids vision faded back and forth He hauled himself up he was wet and slighly dizzy. What was that wird feeling. "Ugg..." David looked around to see a crowd surrounding a man, a few tied up avians, and a sword by a puddle of water on the deck. He held his head trying to steady himself. In the distance the Navy ship was returning to port.

“WATCH OUT EVRYONE!” Maxwell shouted. The group scattered away from Ian and Riley who were left to see him slinging a bunch of mermen onto the deck in the clearing. Ellie swooped by and dropped another set, avians now, from a gust of air. “Wait a minute…Ian?! Ian is that Taylor?!” “Hello, Ellie!” Ian waved. “Nice catch!” he laughed. “GOSH! Ian! I can’t believe my eyes!” he was caught in a winged hug. “Ellie, it’s so good to see you!” “How did you survive! We thought your had died!” She held his shoulders, and then stepped away. “Good to see you, Ian!” Maxwell walked up and nodded. His grin was huge. “I was saved by a mage, Luther. He’s my mage now…” “Luther? I haven’t heard of that man.” Alister stepped over a few of the criminals. “I am Luther.” The mage in the white cloak came from what was nowhere to the others. “So, what have I missed?” Ian looked at Maxwell and Ellie. “Where is Lloyd? Has he brightened up any?” “I wouldn’t say too much…” Ellie sighed. “Hmm? Did that royal girl leave?” Maxwell picked up his dripping saber and slid it back into its respective holster. “Yes, Sir.” Alister nodded. “Hmm, we didn’t get to learn her name.” the captain shrugged. “Ian, you sure came at an active time. In a few days we’ve already found this guy…” he pointed at the limp body of the royal human. “And Ander has come. Ander Rook Hallow? I think you may have met him. He was the prince of Merlaerdin, but now he’s come to us as a pirate. He’s on out team now, and…well, his boat was sunk. You should ha-…” “Oh, I saw that ship, Maxwell.” Ian chuckled. “It’s a shame it had to go. It was beautiful. Speaking of such things though, I was hoping to join the group again. If the mass of people from that man’s ship is too great for yours, why not spread the load?” “You’re making quick offers, but I would appreciate that!” Maxwell’s laugh was full and hearty. “Ian, we need to rest after that battle, and my, you’re back! I think we need to celebrate!” “Mmm, but, you never told me where Lloyd is? And where would that Ander be?” “He’s sulking at his wreck. It will take those of us with metal stones a while to fix it, so I thought we’d be staying a while until it was up, or until we have taken what we can salvage.” “Lloyd and Ander were in a fight. I’m not sure why. Lloyd didn’t feel right, well, as always, so he just went to do his own sulking in his bedroom…” Ellie came into the conversation. “Sir, I think it’s best you let me fix Mr. Hallows ship, instead of putting the burden of his crew on you and Mr. Evans.” Luther grinned, his faint, star-blue hair waving in the natural breeze. For a moment his eyes flickered a soft pink, Ellie thought. Did anyone else notice Ian grimacing at something? “Luther, you could do that?” Ian smiled. “Yes, very quickly, Sir. Tell me where the wreck is.” “It’s just to port side.” Ellie motioned her hands. “Give me a moment. Ian, I shall be back.” Luther ran his tongue over his teeth and jumped over the Xindor’s railing. “Hey, we still have to take care of this guy. We don’t know who he is other than the royal thing. Do any of you humans recognize him?” Ellie looked at the small huddle of humans on Maxwell’s crew. They shook their heads. “I don’t recognize him.” Ian titled his head. “Is he awake?” he blinked. “Alister, can you give him a boost?” Ellie asked herm age friend, but… “I’ll take it!” Zachary shoved his brother aside and kneeled down to the human. “Hmm, you can tell that mage works for Ander.” Maxwell went to whisper in Ian’s ear. “Let’s see though, can you tell me your name?” Zachary held the man’s arm.
Below the water Luther swam to the dulling silvers of the Iver at depth. Ander was hanging overhead it, and completely silent. His head was lowered over his shoulders, and he may have even been crying. “Hello, Mr. Hallow.” Luther’s shadow caught his attention. “Wha? Who’s there?!” Ander twirled around with a sniffle. “I can fix your ship.” “What?” “Move out of the way.” “I don’t even know who you are!” “I can fix your ship…” “Don’t tell me you are here for Ellie!” Luther was silent. “Move…” his voice was deep. With a water stone he generated a current to push Ander aside. His hands began to work. Creaks and groans echoed through the deep. “What are you doing?!” Ander’s face was lit by bright blue sparks and all sorts of other zaps. His ship was molding back together. “How are you…?!” Luther refused to reply as he focused. “You’re a mage! Where did you come from?” Ander was amazed by his mastery. “Can I hire you?!” he was in awe. “I thought Zachary was better! And Alister is renowned! Where did you come from?! I’ve got plenty of money in the treasure hull! Can I hire you, Sir?!” “I do not want your money. I am Ian Taylor Remington’s mage and that will not change.” The serious response dimmed Ander’s hopes.

David David rubbed his eyes and looked at the mage. "Yea I'm awake" He coughed. "I'm still a little weak from the whole Marionette stone." He chuckled "My name is David by the way. I was a solider from Ultra." David looked over at the copper haired woman. "You said And er was here right." David's voice turned serious. "I had a bad run in with him don't you remember?" He looked at Anders mage. David stumbled onto his feet and stretched. Jade Jade was soon back in the palace and locked away in her room. She waited patiently for the duke to arrive as her father stated. She was to meet him tonight then marry him tomorrow. She fiddled with a light relic stone. It flashed in her hands as she learned to control it. She was getting fabulous good at controlling the stones. The whole fiasco played through her head over and over again, and she wondered how she made it through alive. All of the daring sky drops, lightning shooting, water cyclones, and all the other stuff. It seems almost impossible to live through.

“I know your name, David, but you can’t be too hurt if you’re that conscious.” Zach smiled. “You knew his name and didn’t tell us?!” Alister frowned. “Well, yes, but he doesn’t really seem to need any help.” His brother stood up. “Please, forgive Ander. He’s just lonely.” And he teased David. “Well, David, welcome to the Xindor! Have yah heard of it? You caught us at a weird time.” Maxwell stared down into David’s face. Suddenly the mighty sound of breaking waves came from the port side. The Iver rose up, water draining from its windows in a great gush of ocean. “Oh, that’s nice-” Maxwell grinned. Ander was already there on his ship with a thankful hug to the mast, though he still looked bothered. “Hey! Ander! Be happy that your ship is back! Look who’s here, too! I told you about Ian! He didn’t die!” Ellie called out to him. “It’s a miracle!” she laughed. Ander didn’t respond or bother coming to the other side. “I held up my word.” Luther rolled back onto the Xindor in a sleek sort of air. “Is there anything else I can aid anyone with?” His eyes flicked to David. A bright flash of yellow came from his cloak pocket. “Feeling better?”

David David looked at the mage that had just boarded the ship. Something was off about him. "Yes Ander was ranting about your ship when we met." David looked back to the captian. "However I did not get your names", David looked at the Captain and the copper haired woman. David tried to keep his thoughts to himself, something was not right about that guy.

"Well, nice to meet you, David!" Maxwell bounced on his toes. His metal soles clinked. "You've just met the King of Sharks, otherwise formerly know as the Prince of Aevarkest...uh, before I was rejected by my own parents." he scratched his cheek. "Hmm..." "David, I'm cousin Ellie! Sometimes known as the spirit of the sky, I was supposed to be a princess." it was like they had this introduction worked out. "But that's lame business, right?" Ellie smiled. "If my boy was here you'd be meeting a Kaethe, like from the old stories." a cheerful blush covered her face. "You know about Rimallo. Who doesn't? But I'm curious to know what brought you here with the rest of us leftovers." she laughed again. "You're a new royal, aren't you?" Maxwell gave David a trustworthy smile.

David David laughed a little. "Well the queen of Altora tends to be a little... pushy." David chose his words carefully. "Long story short I was given my power and was suppose to marry her, but I didn't love her so I took off. Sailed then ran into Ander then you guys." "The queen is very strange.""She's probably signed me up as the most wanted." He chuckled again looking at Maxwell. "So thats my story. " "I was actually surprised that Mother fire gifted me before the marrige, so I guess I'm not even a Royal!"

“You must be royal in Mother Fire’s eyes.” Ellie seemed glad for David with a sparkling look, and still sad. “I wasn’t given a royal power, and no one is sure why. I’m of direct royal blood…” she sighed. “But, uh! Never mind!” “Maxwell, David Rimald is your friend. Take him to your side, and be cautious.” A light whisper floated into Maxwell’s ear. It was Father Water giving a sign that only he could hear. “Uh, David, this may be sudden, but how would you like to join us? We just took Mr. Hallow, but we could use someone as powerful as you are with fire. You never know what could come up, and maybe you’d get fun out of a pirate life.” Mr. Evans winked. He didn’t realize what had happened between the human and Ander before. “Oh, but what ship would you choose? I guess, we’re a team of three now, huh?” Ellie looked at Ian, and then to Ander in the distance. “Oh, yes, now that I’m back!” Ian smiled. Mrs. Riley leaned her head on his shoulder, and the two were content. “Ian, you and Luther will be on the planning team, no questions asked. I want to welcome you back immediately.” Maxwell looked at Ian, and Luther grinned. “What did we find you all doing here?” Luther twitched his eyebrows. “Well, I suppose we did what we had come to do. We roughed that Devil of the West out of the area…so, after a bit more resting and some partying it will be time to decide our next journey!” Maxwell nodded. “This one sure didn’t last long. I hope Lloyd is all right…” Ellie looked down at her shoes. “I do want to see him.” Ian sighed.
