Name: Leo Marx Nickname: Wolfie (He hates being called this) Age: 18 Curse: Curse of the Werewolf. Because of the multiple moons on the world, Werewolves change once a day. On a full moon they can't control their actions. Weapons/Abilities: No weapon. Claws and fangs when werewolf. He has a keen sense of smell and can see well in the dark. Appearance: Somewhat long, dark brown hair, light blue eyes, somewhat tall, and has claw scratches on his chest and arms. He wears a tan cloth shirt and dark brown pants made of fur. The pants have a few rips in it. He has leather straps for a belt and a small pack. He has white wraps around his waist, lower legs, and forearms. Curse Appearance: His clothes don't change much. The shirt usually rips when he turns. He gets the features of a wolf and stands on his hind legs. History: Leo was born into a small community. He lived with his parents on a farm that was owned by his family for generations. One day, when his parents told him to get firewood, the village bell went off. The bell signaled an attack on the village. Leo rushed into town to see what happened. When he arrived, he saw people injured and dead. He heard a loud howl father into the village. Picking up a sword dropped by one of the injured men, he walked forward and kept on his guard. He reached a group that was holing out in a house. Another howl, this time, it was closer. One of the men yelled to Leo. "Stay back! It might come back!" Leo stopped. He saw a large shadow move past an alleyway. He turned from the group of men to see what it was. It was gone. The men behind him scream and yell. Leo quickly turns to see a beast tearing into the men. He grips his sword tightly. The beast turns and snarls. It sprints at Leo. Leo sticks his sword into the beast's side, while the beast scratches his side and arm. Leo rips the sword through the beast, killing it. He drops the sword and falls down. A group of survivors find him and help him to safety. He has a horrible nightmare that night while he was recovering. When woke, his wounds are healed. Leo sits up to see his parents with tears in their eyes. "Leo? Are you okay?" Leo smiled. "I'm fine." He stands up and stumbles a little. His parents walk downstairs, telling him to rest more. Leo lays back down and closes his eyes. Night came quickly, a full moon. Leo felt a pain in his chest. The pain spread to his limbs. He begins to look like the very beast he killed. He jumps up, he is enraged and crashes through the house. He knocks over a few lanterns when he leaves. The fire spreads through the house. His parents are killed in the blaze. When Leo wakes, he sits up. He was surrounded by trees and plants. He holds his head, remembering what he had done and what he is. Personality: He tries to remain calm when he is normal. When he turns, he either loses control or has control but is extremely aggressive. Most of the time he can control himself. Other: He is aware of the curse he has and the curse of others. He has no living relatives. He has a slight fear of heights.

Name: Ellie Anne Seabrooke (age 20) Curse: Has become a fallen star, a sort of celestial avian. Given the power of light by the evening sky (a star spirit). Abilities: Can control light as a physical entity. Possesses flight by a pair of wings, and with proper focus can shape shift as a mass of tangible, glowing color (this takes a significant amount of energy). Appearance: She’s a bit taller than the average girl. She is more tomboyish, and you’d never catch her in a dress. The curse has taken her normal looks. Where her wavy hair had once been a copper reddish-brown, it has turned a vibrant white with glowing blue tips. The sky blue in her eyes has lightened to a bright, crystal color, like the very star that gifted her. Her wings are the same white as her hair, with feathers tipped blue. Curse Appearance: Exactly as her normal appearance, only her wings are added and she takes on a sort of ethereal glow. History: She had been living a normal life with her parents in a quaint village tucked within the mountains. Many people loved her as she was. She took care of her younger brother; he and his friends adored her. Her close friends admired her for her optimism. When she was alone she would often stroll through the forest, or go hiking to find the perfect place to sketch. Sometimes she would study local legends, or read mystical stories of creatures hidden in the trees at the heart of the valley. There was one particular myth of shooting stars that caught her interest and led her into closer research. One evening she went on her own into the forest during the year’s annual star festival. While her friends and family stayed behind in the village square to celebrate, she decided to watch the meteor shower from a high place on the mountain. Near the peak she found herself face to face with a strange young man. He was injured severely, as if he had fallen from the sky, but this was not ordinary. In the darkness the red of his spattered blood cast a bright glow across the rocks. His skin was a pale white, his hair and eyes a gentle powder blue like the great wings on his back. Ellie knew he was a star spirit like those she had read about (despite his appearance he could have been thousands of years old), but there was no time to worry about the fact. She tried to ease his suffering, but the wounds he had attained were too extensive. In her arms he smiled at her kindness and passed onto the next world with no explanation of why he had come. He did, however gift her with what power he could leave behind as thanks. She received it unwillingly, and was transformed into her current state. When she returned home the entire village was sent into a stir. She had become an idle in a matter of days. People thought she was an angel, a wonder from the heavens to work miracles. She was thrown into a life of over coated praise and misunderstandings. No one treated her the same, and rather shut out who she had once been for her new abilities. Most of the time she could not provide for what people expected, such as belief that she could heal the sick or grant good luck. Her closest friends and family stayed loyal, but she was soon fed up with the rest of the town. Searching for that peace she lost she set out on her own at seventeen with no idea what would come to her from then on. Personality: On the outside – spunky, cheery, creative, quirky, and eccentric, never appears to be agitated or angry. She’s silly, and really appreciates her friends, but she hides all of her true pain for “their” sake. She can be talkative, if you get her going, but she’s shy unless you know her well enough. She’s not always honest unless she knows she won’t hurt you. If you’re close enough, however, she’ll lay off some of the sugar coating, and you’ll notice that she can become annoyed too. Other: She had no idea that others could have been like her. She thought it was all a myth until it happened to herself. She is fascinated by this and yearns to meet the “others”.
Name: Lucian Roswell Halstead (age 22) Curse: He has taken the form of an ancient and cursed spirit of the arctic waters. It gave him the appearance of a shark-like demon, being more apparent in one of his two forms. (In other words, yeah…he’s a merman) Abilities: With his curse he has been given the ability to breathe underwater, no matter his current form. Some cold enchantment has been cast upon him that he may now control water and ice elements with only simple thought. Appearance: Lucian is tall and has considerably broad shoulders. Since obtaining his curse his irises have turned to a crystal white, shining faintly blue in certain light. His hair has become the same color, and his skin has become very pale. Now his teeth are pointed, much like those teeth of a shark’s. He has two forms, one of which he retains his human legs, and the other his new tail. In his mer-form his scales are same color as his eyes and hair. (To put it short, this guy is just Maxwell’s evil sort of doppelganger. He even has a similar hairstyle…What? I thought it was a fun idea...*shot*) Curse Appearance: In one form it isn’t different from his normal appearance, except his body temperature does drop noticeably when his powers are activated. You can feel the change in temperature standing within ten feet of him. If, however, he is too tired his true curse appearance takes over and he becomes a…merman. (I can’t take my own characters seriously. This makes me giggle. CB<) History: Lucian was not always the best child. He was constantly defiant, and rebelled against his parents’ order. Often he would run away, or skip out on school just to cause trouble around town. Eventually his parents became sick of this, and when he came of age, his father made him an apprentice in an attempt to straighten him out. Mr. Halstead was a fisherman, and for some of the most exotic species of fish. Sometimes his line of work would take him to the oddest places, and for this he was sure to return with the most interesting stories and legends. His very first job with his son brought them to a land in the North that was known for it’s chilly waters. One particular stream there was infamous with waters said to contain a curse. Despite this myth, Mr. Halstead was suspicious enough and he warned Lucian just to be cautious. Of course, Lucian was angered that he had been dragged against his will to work here. He did not heed his father’s words, and one evening he slipped away from their camp to search for excitement. In the bitter, snowy cold the first place he thought to go was the “cursed” stream. He did not realize the legends of a dark creature that dwelled within it. Obliviously he began to tease the river. He threw rocks and sticks, and did anything he could to stir up mischief, but what good was it playing in the water? It could not respond in annoyance, or so he thought. Before he could turn to leave he slipped on a stone in the shallows. The chill seeping into his clothing through his skin and into his bones was enough, and for fear of getting sick he decided to go home. He stood a second time, but slipped again, and a third time soon after. He could not get up no matter how hard he tried. Something wanted him to stay, and he had no clue as to why. After only an hour his energy and body heat were running dangerously low, and that was when he was vulnerable enough. He looked up to see a great, white beast staring into his eyes. Its ferocious jaw hung open full of icicles and frost. It was close to taking a bite from his shoulder, but for that moment it simply stared into his eyes. He had no chance when the dragon pulled him under the surface. Lucian was sure of dying, though he could not tell if suffocation or hypothermia would take his life first. His vision went dark when he had just given up, and he thought that was the end. Some immeasurable amount of time later he awoke on the riverbank, covered in bloody marks, and he was not the same. This time the cold was no bother. It felt comfortable to him, but when he saw his reflection in the stream he was frightened. It took him a while to realize that he could change back into a human, and he was disappointed to find it was no longer his “natural” form. This annoyed him, until he found that people were afraid. Rumors began to spread. He was the living essence of that river, the one who had taken so many lives. This came to his advantage, but one day soon he was bored of pestering his village. At the age of nineteen he set off on his own to become a nuisance for the rest of the world. Personality: He is very arrogant and lusty. His mind is always filled with the most selfish thoughts, though he is rather intelligent. His temper is obvious and when things do not go his way, or he cannot sway you with his words he becomes violent. Other: If he is too exhausted he cannot stay in his human form. This can obviously pose a problem where he lives on land. Also, because of his cold body temperature and the chilly air that follows him, you can see his puffs of breath every time he exhales. (Ain’t it a real shame that he’s evil? D| >BD)

Leo runs through the city, pushing past people. He scans the area looking for someone. He spots a hooded man and rushes to catch up to him. The man jumps in shock and bolts down an alley. Leo quickly looks up to see a few faint stars. He didn't have much time until he turns. He yells at the man. "Get back here thief!" He chases the thief through the alleyways and ends up out in the open. The thief runs past a girl, brushing past her. He snatched a small bag off of the girl. Leo jumps past, still trying to catch up. His teeth look more pointed than normal.

Ellie could not stay in this city for much longer. She had come to observe, just as a curious wanderer, but it was not the most pleasant place. Continuing on she kept fighting the homesickness by searching for adventure. Every day was another journey, and a chance to learn something new. She valued this, though times could be difficult. People would give her strange looks. Often she had to hide her face, and for this she always wore a dark cloak. It was made from the deepest shadow of material she had ever discovered, and yet, in the evenings it could not contain all of her glow. On nights when the sky was clearest, when she could see the other stars, she too would shine. As people here began to notice, she understood it would soon be time to move to the next town or village. Perhaps one day she would find others with similar…predicaments. That was, after all, her new purpose, to find other’s who had received anything quite as odd. An unclear shape rustled past her as she trailed the alleys. She was thrown into a wall, only to see another man running past. “Get back here, thief!” his shout was startling. With a small gasp she turned away in hopes that her strange stare had gone under their watch. What was going on? Did they not see color she possessed? Whatever had them occupied had saved her the worry. Wait…a thief? This was not correct. In recent days she had found small uses for her power. Here and there she would give aid to those willing to accept such an outsider. Now was no time to compromise justice. The buildings were too close for her wings, and that would bring more unwanted attention. The most she could do was follow on foot after the men. The metal bottoms of her boots clanked on the pavement below as she ran. She did not call out, or say a word. If her help was truly called for she would act.

The thief takes a quick turn down an alley. Leo follow behind and sees the thief turn down another alleyway that leads to an open area. Leo grins, thinking that he'll catch up. As soon as he enters the open area, a few thugs close off where he came. "What the?!" He turns to see that he is surrounded. The thief walks forward holding a small leather book. He tosses the book up in the air and catches it again. "Why do you want this book back? Is it valuable?" He laughs and store the book in one of his small pockets. Leo looks up at the moon and starts to feel a small pain in his chest. "Not now... Just give me my book back and I'll let you walk away..."

Annie loved to watch the setting sun. She usually stayed away from towns but it was quite peaceful here. She noticed a cloaked person. This person seemed to glow and at first she couldn't believe what she we seeing but then again she had good eyesight. She was walking on top of the roof when she spots a man running. Another man was chasing after him, apperantly he was a thief. The cloaked person started following them as well. She follows them to an alley and watches from above as the man is surrounded by the thief's friends. Something's not right right though. A strange feeling washes over her.

Ellie brought herself to a halt before the men could turn around to see her. In an open corner of the alley they had stopped. The “thief” seemed to be teasing the younger one. She didn’t know enough to step in yet. Seeing a stack of crates from the corner of her eye, she hid behind them and waited. There was the sound of a shifting step above her, but she did not glance up. Her eyes were focused on the edgy scene she had seen first.

Two of the thugs rush at Leo. He quickly dodges and punches one in the stomach. The thief tilts his head. "Looks like this guy wants to fight back. Get him." More thugs rush at him. Leo falls to his knees, the pain is spreading. He stand and dodges the thugs and is hit by the last one. He stands up then falls to his knees once more. "Not... now..." He begins to turn into the werewolf. The enemies back up. The thief is in shock. "What is he?!" Leo stands and howls. He runs at the thugs, slicing them as he runs. When all thugs are dead, he turns and looks at the thief. The thief turns to run but is quickly pinned and bitten multiple times. Leo picks up the book that was stolen from him and puts in into the pack on his side. He sniffs the air and turns to look where Ellie is. "I know you're there. Come on out..." He then looks up to where Annie is. "You too..."

Annie jumps down from the roof and watches as another woman steps out from her shelter of crates. She was still glowing but Annie focusses on the man in front of her, a werewolf. Werewolfs were dangerous but she'd encountered them before. She didn't want any trouble so Annie stood motionless while the man studied the girls. He actually looked quite young.

Leo glares at Annie and Ellie. "Why were you two following me?" Leo's voice is lower than normal because he is in his werewolf form. He puts his hand over were the book is. He definately wants to keep the book he has safe. He keeps his guard up.

She wouldn’t step out from behind the crates. “What are you? Who are you two?” Ellie’s voice was bland. Where these two together? The beast that the boy had become did not intimidate her, not as much as the human that was its mind. “We can’t stay here. We will be seen!” something was different about them all, and she was beginning to see.

Annie glanced around nervously taking in the dead people everywhere. "we definitely need to get out of here. We can talk once we leave." She hated blood. And it was making the dragon part of her excited. Her eyes started to glow a deep purple color and she took off to the rooftop.
