Joshua stood up as well and continued to walk to the village. He noticed a few clothes hung up next to a house as they walked. "Do you think you could put those on?" As he was talking to Kita, he was pointing at the clothes. "It might seem a bit strange for you... but it will make you look a bit more normal."

"Why by the heavens would I put on things such as that? It's not even raining, and I'm not cold." She crossed her arms. She was grateful for him saving her, but felt annoyed that he was telling her what to do. "Besides, why do you want me to hide behind something anyway. I personally enjoy and accept the fact that I'm a goddess..."

Joshua was a little nervous about what he was about to say. "I know you're a goddess... but I overheard a part of that conversation with you and that man... He called you a... Demon... It would make people less nervous around you if you wore these like everyone else." He started to grind his teeth a little when he said the word demon. "I know you aren't a demon. You are much more greater than that."

"Hmph, well it seems like one person finally realizes that..." She had her arms crossed. She was thinking about what to do since she believes how insecure people were of wanting everyone on the same level. "...well..." She started to say as she reached for one of the dresses. "I suppose it would get a better reaction than me going around in my true form..."
Meanwhile, Lantos was at the village, selling some of the fur coats and have a few good laughs with the festival.

Joshua smiled. "Thank you." He turned his back as she found the correct clothing and put it on. After she was done, Joshua set down a bag of coins. "There... That money should cover anything we might have taken. Are you ready to go Kita?"

"Almost" She had already put on the thin navy-blue dress, which ended at the bottom of her shin. She was tying her waist-length hair into a ponytail. After getting done with that, she put on a straw hat that was hanging, being left to dry. The dress covered her tail perfectly, as the hat for her ears. If she opened her mouth too much when speaking though, anyone could see her fangs. "We're going through the village, right? I wanted to see the celebration." She smiled, accidentaly showing her fangs although not noticing she was doing so. She started walking towards the village.

Joshua noticed her fangs showing, but decided to leave it be. There was no true way of hiding her fangs. Besides, no one would probably even notice them. "Okay Kita. We'll see the celebration for one day, then we'll head up north. He smiled as he thought of the festivities that would go on.

The village streets were full of commotion. Many talking, yelling happily, eating, shopping, and running. Suddenly, Kita sniffed the air, and darted through the thick crowd to a small pub which also served lunches. She entered and immediatly followed her nose up to the bar seats. There was some fresh baked honey bread out of the oven there. "Wow...that smells delicious," she told the bar worker. "You...can smell it from there? You must have a good nose to have smelled it." The bar worker stated. "Would you like a slice?" "That would be heavenly, how much for the slice?" Kita responded. "You must not be from around here..." tHe worker chuckled, "...all food and drink during our festivals are free" He responded, placing a plate with two slices on the counter in front of her. Kita sat down and started eating.
Lantos was at the next seat, about 4 feet down the counter. He thought he recognized the girl, but was sure of who, or rather what, it was from the eyes, and the few instances of seeing her fangs as she spoke. He didn't say anything though.

Joshua saw Kita bolt through the crowd and enter the small pub. He kept walking, not worried if she was in any trouble. Making his way into the pub, he went inside and sat down next to Lantos. He turned his head to look at Kita, then looked around at the rest of the people who were enjoying the festivities. Noticing Lantos, he smiled at him. "Hey, your that guy from the front gate. L... La... Lantos that's it. So how are you doing?"

"Oh, Joshua, I'm doing fine..." He said before he moved closer a little and whispered, "Pay attention to the girl there near the door...the one with red eyes...I wasn't sure of it before but I am now, that girl was inside my wagon last night for no reason..." He took a sip of the drink. "I'm sure now because I saw the fangs..."
"You do know I can hear everything you're saying, right? I do have good ears after all..." Kita was standing directly behind Lantos with her hands on her hips. The expression on her face could tell she was annoyed.

Joshua grinned. "Yeah... Lantos, this is Kita. You two must have already met." He wasn't sure about the relationship between the two, but he continued to smile nervously.

"Joshua...I think it's better if we leave...if the people in this village are like this man, I have no desire to stay." Kita stated before turning around and exiting the pub.
"...Kita, huh? Funniest thing, I wasn't sure of it, but Kita was the name of a goddess in Kair. Who would of thought someone's parent's, even if they aren't human, would name their kid after that..." Lantos said.

Joshua followed behind Kita. He tried his best to stay and see what Lantos meant, but was urged to follow Kita back to his wagon. After they left the pub and were in Joshua's wagon, they started to head toward a new destination. "Hey Kita, do you mind if we stop in Zoulae? I would like to get some supplies."

"Zoulae?" Kita repeated, "Isn't that where the fishing towns are? If we go there, I'll be able to see an old friend!" She was getting excited. "If I remember correctly, it should take about a day or two to get there from here."

"It will only take us about a day. I know a few shortcuts." Joshua thought how the people of his village would react to him being home. He was quite known in his village for being lazy and a great fisherman like his father. "I wonder if anything has changed... I haven't been back there for a good month and a half..." He was talking Phyllis and to himself. Kita would have easily heard him.
